The need
Children without guardians lose schooling and protection, and are at risk of exploitation.
What the evidence says
Family-style care and continuity of schooling are the standard protections recommended for children outside parental care.
BICA's response
Children live in family-style homes on the campus with houseparents. We place them in school, provide health care and trauma support, and plan their move into training or work. Every sponsored child has a transparent record of how support was used.
Who it is for
Orphans and vulnerable children referred by social services, schools, guardians and community leaders.
The result we answer for
School attendance and completion, and movement into further training or work.
